Black and White plus vellum

Only one official Challenge with today's card...It was inspired from the Taylored Expressions TECC70 challenge. The reason for only using 2 colors (black and White) was one 'dare' from my upline for the next team meeting. I guess that part of my talent came back, lol!!!

Here is my card, using only the 'Echoes of Kindness' hostess set. (Yes I do like it very much)
Ingresients; White Stazon, basic Black ink, vellum paper, Whisper White and Basic Black card sotk, flowers and pealrs from the pretties kit, adhesive, dimensionals, punches and ribbons. Hope you like the result:-) It's been a while but I can say that I like the result of this one.

5th Avenue and running out of card stock :-)

While coming up with the 'design' I unfortunately ran out of Whisper white card stock...So I guess this is what you should expect when you are trying to finish off a project with whatever you have on hand (without waking up your neighbour which happens to be your up line :-))

For this weird looking card, (I still had a vision about summer ;-) that would explain the choice of colors) I used the layout challenge from the 2 sketches 4 you girls.

Ingredients: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango card stock and Inks, blender pen, ribbon, dimensionals, punches and adhesive.

Which me luck, as I have seem to have misplaced my talent, lol!!! See you tomorrow:-)

Sincères Remerciements

I saw a beautiful bathing suit and it just inspired me to use these colors for this layout challenge from Kerin Stamps.

Aren't these colors screaming...SUMMER!!!, pools, beaches, sun?

I hope that this card brightens your day :-)

And now for the ingredients: adhesive, dimensionals, rhine stones, punch, watercolor wheel, Sincères Remerciements stamp set, card stock in tangerine tango, kiwi kiss, tempting turquoise, summer sun and of course whisper white. Inks used were basic black, summer sun, kiwi kiss, tempting turquoise and tangerine tango. Hope this inspires you to not look outside when it's raining but just go hide in your quiet place and 'stamp' your heart out:-)

Come back tomorrow! TTFN

It's raining...Sad, but I'll get more stuff done:-)

Well, I was hoping to get more stuff done...The truth; I napped between loads of laundry. I did manage to get 1 card that combines 2 challenges. I have to admit, this is so not my style!!! I guess it is nice to get out of our comfort zone every once in a while and try new things, especially when no one is getting hurt in the process :-)

The first challenge is from Techno Stamper - Lunchtime sketch and the other one comes from the Color Throwdown. Hope you like it! I'm still not sure;)

Ingredients: Priceless Stamp set, punches, lots and lots of adhesive, rhine stones, ribbon, re-inker (to dye the ribbon), sponge, whisper white, barely banana, elegant eggplant and brocade blue.

See Ya tomorrow...good night!

A note of thanks

A quick card just for the fun of it. No challenges actually caught my attention today that would fit with these colors...

I used the Forest Friends and the thank you kindly stamp sets (first time for both of them :-))

Other ingredients: Punches of course:-), adhesive, dimensionals, inks and card stock colors are kiwi kiss, summer sun, chocolate chip and the caramel one (sorry,I know that I'm missing a word here).

I had fun and will probably be reusing these colors soon...I just love the way thay blend together. TTFN!!!

No doubts...I'm addicted :-)

To challenges that is...And my favorite part to make it harder on myself is to combine more than one challenges on 1 card...

This one is a combination of 2 challenges. The colors were chosen by Dawn at the Raspberry Suite and the second one for that Monday layout is from Mojo Monday.

Since Stampin'Up! does not have a 'raspberry' color, I used the Rose Red instead as it is the closer that I could get to it.

Hope you like it...I'm really changing my style and it is kinda kewl :-)

Ingredients: Baroque Motifs and Heard from the heart stamp sets, adhesive, punches, dimensionals, ribbons and whisper white, red rose, mellow moss and almost artichoke.

Hope you like it...see you tomorrow ;-)

One wheel = 1 card!

I just wanted to do a quick one today since I had more than my share of cleaning... Today, I used the inspiration from the Sweet Sunday challenge as well as the colors from KWerner Design.

Ingredients: ribbon, adhesive, dimensionals, cisors, punch, whisper white, real red, pacific point, summer sun and Basic Black and for the bling...I used the Embellishment brads and images are from the Friendly Words wheel.

Good night!

Upsy Daisy...only one challenge!

Well, not exactly. The first challenge was for me to 'recycle' my left over pieces of card stock before cutting into new sheets and the real challenge was the layout from Taylored Expressions.

It was quick (once I decided on which stamp set to use :-)

Ingredients: Upsy Daisy stamp set, En Français (background stamp), Lavender lace, Old Olive And Elegant eggplant for both card stock and inks (markers), adhesive, ribbon, punches and gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Echoes of Kindness in pink;)

Even though I wanted to take today off...I got bored and it just did not feel right not to play:-)
Here is today's card. Black & White plus 1 color (Regal Rose) - Why this 'rose'? No special reason other than I had left over pieces from yesterday's card :-)

I was able to find challenges that would be less complexe than previous ones and, as usual, combined 2 of them. One is for colors from 3 clovers and the other one is a layout from TCP Sketch challenge.

Without any further dues...the ingredients list: Echoes of kindness stamp set, whiper white, basic black and Regal Rose card stock, regal rose and basic black inks, ribbons, adhesive, dimensionals and designer paper in 'rose' and finally, the scallop edge punch.

Voilà, enjoy!

Pour toi :-) Bright, Girly and Fun!!!

Second post today...wow wee :-) This card is a combination of 2 challenges. I would not have picked those colors by myself as I think that the Regal Rose is just a little bit too pink for me;)

Still, I had fun doing this...The challenges for this card are OCC color challenge and 2S4Y Laura's sketch 26 .

Ingredients: Adhesive, dimensionals (or left over pieces of rubber from assembling stamp sets) ,gel pen, ribbon and punches. The colors of ink, markers, card stock and designer paper...Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. Only one stamp set; Unique en ton genre (French version of One of a Kind)

Happy Thursday:-) I might be taking a little pause tomorrow as I need to get ready for my Tupperware party. See you all on Saturday! TTFN (ta, ta for now!)

OMG...I can not believe this...Just too "KEWL"!

Hi everyone, just thought I could share this wonderful piece of information with all of you since you made it happen...In the last 1o days, I have been participating in challenges...just love it.

The goal here was getting me to create again and, since I had been out of the 'stamping mode' for close to 6 months, the traffic on my blog also stopped.

Well, now here is the 'KEWL' part. Did you know that in the last 10 days, my blog got visited more than 1300 times!!! I guess I'm getting back out there now and people are starting to talk!!! The secret...enter challenges if you want people to notice you and your creativity:-)

Bottom line, I thought it would be nice of me to recognize this by telling you all a big THANK YOU...You made this happen.

Here is my latest creation. Funny how just one phone call gets you inspired :-) My grand-mother will turn 87 this summer and I know that her biggest dream would be to go back one last time to Hawaii. Flowers it is then :-)

So for this card, I decided once again to participate in 2 challenges. The first one is from 3 clovers #13 and the second one is from the Taylored Expressions cup cake challenge #15.

Echoes of Kindness

Wow...my first challenge. I heard people talking about 'challenges' and after snooping around on other people's blog, I decided to try it too. WOW! this is fun. Can't hardly wait till next Monday for the next one :-)

For this card, I only used 1 stamp set (this is also a first for me, lol) Echoes of Kindness is a level 2 hostess set from the Spring Summer 2009 catalogue. The ink and card stock used are all 'in colours' wich will probably be retiring at the end of next month (just when I'm starting to have fun with them :-( ) . The tools : aqua painter, re-inkers, black stazon and a tiny piece of velum paper. Voilà, challenge #86 from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ completed :-)

Finally, my 'Stamp Oasis'...Wahoo!!!

I can't believe that I will finally get around to stamp in here!
Everyone needs lots of storage too!
Closer view of all my 'punches' :-)

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Look at all my 'freebies' :-)

I took some time over the week end to actually sort through my stamps sets as I was one catalogue behind. I wanted to pull off the shelves all the retired stamps set that I own and I also decided while being nose down in catalogue(s) doing all that research, that I should 'mark' or put aside all the sets that I actually got for free...Here is the final result, check it out...WOW, who knew that being a 'hobby Demonstrator' would get me so many sets and other goodies for free (on top of the discount). Too bad that I can't add to the picture all the other free stuff such as; punches, designer paper, ink pads, card stock, ribbons, tools, etc. received in the last year as well. If all goes well, my 'Stamp Oasis' should be free of cluther and I'll actually be able to use it...for real! See you soon:-)

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I gave my self a push today and my goal was to do a mother's day card. Here it is. All done with wathever I could find. My stamping 'oasis' is a mess. Somehow in me not being at home and not using the space, was transformed into a 'storage room'. How fair is that?

Anyhow, click on the picture to enlarge and I will be more than happy to send you a list of ingredients for the card to anyone that emails me at kewlstamps-n-more@sympatico.ca. Good night :-)
