Holidays Stamp-A-Stack... first 5 designs

What is a Stamp-a-Stack?
The idea behind a Stamp-a-Stack class is that you go home with a 'stack' of cards ready to send out. Traditionally, at a Stamp-a-Stack, you would take a couple of card designs and mass produce each one a few times.
How many cards do you make in the class? In my Stamp-a-Stack Classes, you make 10 cards and matching envelopes, in 5 different designs.
How much does the class cost?
I charge $25. It includes an embellishment pack (ribbon, brads, etc) and 10 envelopes.
How long does the class take?
My afternoon classes are at 1:30pm for a 2:00 start, and we always start on time. Speedy workers are often finished by 4:00 - 4:30, and those who work at a more leisurely pace are usually done by 5 pm.
How will you set up for the class?
I have a nice heated, bright finished basement and have a big stable table. I will set 5 different stations (1 per design) with all the supplies for that design. Each one can work on one design and then they swap seats as they finish.
When are you having this Stamp-A-Stack?
I am hosting this one on November 7th, 2009 at my place or Julie's Stamp Oasis (sounds nicer doesn't it?) . I need people to notify me before November 2nd to ensure that I prepare enough supplies. phone 519-836-7770 or e-mail: kewlstamps-n-more@sympatico.ca

Any incentives?
Yes, but that is a surprise... Draws, Kewl Bucks, and so on...

Now, are you as excited about this as I am? This is going to be so much fun... can't hardly wait, wahoo!

Oye, Oye!!! Bring a Friend and get a $5 coupon!

Projects on the go!

All of a sudden, I needed to create a 'card' and I did...

Ingredients: I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set from Stampin'Up! , Whisper White, Crushed Curry card Stock, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango Classic Inks, Polka Dots 5/8" Dusty Durango Grosgrain Ribbon and a sponge to remove the line between the colours. Then I embossed in clear embossing powder the sentiment. (non SU: Pearl fabric paint and embossing Folder).

Hope you like it. The only thing with this card that is time consuming... letting the fabric paint dry:-)

Stamp-a Stack FAQs

Some of you asked questions about a Stamp-a-Stack class. I did a little bit of investigating and basically, here are the answers that I was able to gather for you. If you have more questions, simply leave a comment, and I'll add to this post.
What is a Stamp-a-Stack?
The idea behind a Stamp-a-Stack class is that you go home with a 'stack' of cards ready to send out. Traditionally, at a Stamp-a-Stack, you would take a couple of card designs and mass produce each one a few times.
How often can you run Stamp-a-Stacks?
I can host a Stamp-a-Stack class every week (if need be) simply let me know which day would work best for you and we will make it happen.
Saturday afternoon, a week night or at day times can be arranged.
How many cards do you make in the class? In my Stamp-a-Stack Classes, you make 10 cards and matching envelopes, in 5 different designs.
How much does the class cost?
I charge $25. It includes an embellishment pack (ribbon, brads, etc) and 10 envelopes.
How much would you charge for extra supplies?
Assuming that you would “pre-stamp” all images and still use all the tools at hand, (ribbons, brads, etc) and envelopes are still part of the ‘kit’, I would charge $15.Are the classes suitable for beginners?Definitely! But more experienced stampers will also pick up some tips and tricks.
Is the cardstock pre-cut?Yes, I pre-cut everything and ore-score. It makes it so much quicker that way! I package it all up. You get to keep the cello bags. That way, as a design is completed, it can be popped in the bag, away from falling inkpads !
How long does the class take?
My evening classes are at 7pm for a 7:30 start, and we always start on time. Speedy workers are often finished by 9-9:30, and those who work at a more leisurely pace are usually done by 10pm.
How will you set up for the class?
I can accommodate 5 people per class at this time. I have a nice heated, bright finished basement and have a big stable table. I will set 5 different stations (1 per design) with all the supplies for that design. Each one can work on one design and then they swap seats as they finish.
Can I have a Stamp-a-Stack in my own home?
Definitely! Once you have experienced a regular workshop, lots of people like to get their fingers a bit more inky and invite their friends over for a Stamp-a-Stack. Instead of 10, you will make 8 cards for $20 (all supplies included), in a couple of different designs.
Can I pick which type of Stamp-a-Stack I want in my own home?
Definitely! Just let me know what you feel like and we can even pick the designs together.

Swap received from Ruth Hill (one of the Artful*Inker SU team member)

Remember... I am a crafty person but not a photographer, lol!!!

Still you can clearly see (most days) the beautiful creations that I love to share with all of you to help you get creative as well...

This card was received at this month's team meeting from a fellow demonstrator Ruth...

I just love how lovely it looks, dimension, embossing, ribbon, etc... She did a GREAT job and this would really be easy and fun to reproduce in a class.

Now on to more serious stuff... 3rd week already to enjoy... Throughout October, get all-new Deals of the Week—with select products up to 50% off! See below for this week’s Deals of the Week:

Holidays are coming... Really? Time to get ready :-)

I have been thinking about doing some type of stamp a stack for the holidays...Just need to find 'Participants' lol!!!

Anywho...someone once told me at one point that a picture is worth a thousand words... So without any further adieu...

May all your wishes come true...In Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip. Whisper White and Creamy Caramel plur irridescent Ice embossing powder.

Same layout, different embossing plates, this time done in Kraft instead of Creamy caramel, glitter and white ribbon instead of red (this one contains no retired products what so ever...kewl)

Dasher, Basic Black, Kraft (can you tell I love it), Very vanilla and Soft Suede...

A classic... Lovely as a tree, Kraft and Always Artichoke and irridescent Ice embossing on the Whisper White Craft Ink... No credit for this one as I simply changes the colour of card stock to artichoke and ink color for the sentiment as well as used irridescent ice on the tree instead of glue and glitter.

Finally, Lovely as a tree, silver ink, Not quite navy and Whisper White, irridescent Ice embossing powder, dimensionals and I had a blast doing this.

My own wedding anniversary.

Happy Wednesday... One card, one occasion and two challenges:-)

My wedding anniversary is coming up on the 12 of this month...pfff 7 years already! So I tried to do a not too feminine card that would still show him that I love him (still, lol)... hey, he snores and I have not kicked him(yet)

On with the more useful stuff, 2 challenges, Sweet Sunday by K Giron (sketch) and Pals Paper Art (Thanks or Gratitude) - not entered via Mr Linky...contest closed at noon...

Ingredients: Kraft, Basic Black, Whisper White and Soft Suede card stock, White stazon, Sahara Sand and Soft Suede Classic inks, Soft suede grosgrain ribbon, adhesive and dimensionals as well as product that resemble a combination of Crystal effects and shimmer paint from the mini...

I'm back and taking it easy :-)

Still love to create (and missed it too). House is spotless (and up for sale), visited my family (a few hours drive), school is out (can't complain, lol), getting lots of interviews, bank and dentist appointments...

Finally manage to squeeze an order in (Digital Studio, come to mama...) and did a quick birthday card following a request from a friend (pink, butterflies and birthday)

Totally works for Flutter By Wednesday :-)

Ingredients: Kraft card stock and Pretty in Pink DP (retired), glue dots, chunky glitter, butterflies die cuts, Medallion stamp, craft ink in White and Regal Rose, Clear embossing powder and White embossing powder, heat tool, ribbon and a button... Hope you like it!
