Project 2 submitted for the Artisan Award 2010 contest

Every Monday for 10 weeks starting June 21st till August 23rd inclusive, I will be posting a project at a time from all 10 submitted.

Now, the ingredients will be listed after the pictures and I also know that another talented lady up here in Canada submitted awesome projects as well.  Neither one of us made it in the top 10... but that's okay, we still love playing with paper and we will gladly share the projects with you.

Stamps: Upsy daisy, Herb expressions

Paper: chocolate chip (textured), summer sun, old olive, very vanilla and vellum card stock.

Ink: Chocolate chip craft and classic, old olive and summer sun craft inks.

Accessories:  clear embossing powder, heat tool, tombow mutli purpose adhesive, Sponge Daubers, glue dots, 1 ¼” Striped grosgrain ribbon – old olive, corduroy button – summer sun, paper snips.

Punches and Dies: scallop edge border, BigShot Die-Cut Machine, texturz plate –  stampin’up! Perfect details.

Last of the project for my stamp party...

I wanted to hold off till after the 'party' to share my last project (copied from Palooza) but it turned out cute and the best part... Got to use a lot of the retiring products...  Feels good!

Ingredients: big shot and dies, apricot appeal and ballet blue, brad, punches and sticky strip.

Tomorrow, I'll be hosting my 1st ever Stamp Party and one of the projects you can be making if you decide to join me is a gift card / certificate holder:-)  Then I realized that my holder was perfect for our challenge this week at OCC:-)  Isn't that awesome? 2 birds with one stone, lol!

Ingredients: Brocade Blue (retiring) ink and cs, whisper white, retired dp (can't remember the name of it), ribbon (also retired) - Why am I using retiring stuff, cause I have enough and my order will not reach me on time for the Party, hee, hee.... (and then it also makes room for new stuff), Enjoy Every Moment stamp set, scoring blade, certainly celery and bashful Blue classic inks and finally, Scallop border trim punch (or maybe not in this order, lol)

Remember to visit all the girls from our DT at OCC... Happy Saturday!

Going through my stuff and updating my retiring list :-)

Bottom line is ... I should have stayed on top of my purchases. lol!!!

Just couldn't resist... Punch art with MDS!!!

I was snooping around on the net when suddendly... I saw this darling little card :-)  Go see Kim's blog, she has the neatest ideas!!!

So I decided to play with this birdy on MDS and my son simply said... "looks like a penguin mom!!!"

You know, he is kinda right, so I went ahead, changed the colours, added snowflakes and voilà a cute tag ready to be used for the holidays (only 7 months too early but so what, I'm in a festive mood, lol!!! )

 Et pour tout ces gens plein de talent au Québec ... Aujourd'hui c'est congé...Bonne Saint-Jean!  Profitez bien des festivités!

Here is the first card we will be making... I copied the idea from... (sorry, only a picture from Palooza swaps) If you recognize your card, let me know, I really want to give you the credit for it!

Ingredients: Whisper white, soft suede card stock, soft Suede ink, certainly celery, so saffron and real red Stampin'Write Markers, Awash with flowers and Watercolor Trio stamp sets plus a big shot and the polka dots embossing folder... Simple, quick, beautiful and elegant!

OCC Challenge... Case an OCC girl:-)

I though it would be easy to case someone from the design team at OCC... Boy, was I wrong, just didn't know which one to pick... Soooo many beautiful card, it was really hard to pick just one.

So I decided to go with THIS ONE from Dana because my personal challenge is simplify:-)  I always add "everything" on my cards.  With this one, I had to stop or else it would no longer be recognizable, lol!!!

Now that I look at it... I have 3 layers of ribbon, hee, hee!!!

MDS... Soooo Quick-n-easy card

Okay, my monkey is in SK so there is no official graduation for him this year so I might be off with the dates here but, how cute and simple is this.... All it took me was 5 minutes and then putting this post together, lol!!!

Swap received at Palooza...

Dina Anker's version of an owl card... This one was so cute that I didn't want my sister to take it with her, lol... The pisture is not reallty doing it justice.

If my memory serves me right, the moon was popped up with dimensionals, the missing portion of the moon is the owls belly, the background used the lattice embossing folder and the pretty blue is marina mist (new colour being officially launched in July)

MDS MonDays... Father's day card, no tweaking

I love my MDS from SU and never really took the time to look at the 'already made cards' (designer templates) that come with the install... I know that this one was uploaded with the "well Scripted" bushset download but... wow, who needs to stress about designing last minute cards when all you need is My Digital Studio?

Here we go, this is the rest of my cards front that I used as swaps for Caroline's Stampin'Palooza last week end...

I used: Dusty Durango card stock and dp, lots of stampin'write markers, watercolour paper, basic gray cs, sahara sand cs, black craft ink, clear embossing powder, corner chomper, piecing tool, vintage brad, dimensionals and a fun event:-)
