I usually don't do pink....

But this totally works:-)  Thanks to my friend Caroline for letting me join in for her class and giving me permission to re-do them at my upcoming stamp-a-stack :-)  Some of the colours that we will be using might be different as I do not have the designer paper (yet) and some of the images will be replaced with ones from stamp sets that I do have... Hardest part is to come up with the layout anyways!  Great job Caroline... I loved it and will for sure be back.  Oh and the donuts were yummy!

Colour Challenge over at OCC.

Vanilla, Olive, Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Early Espresso...

Lovely projects (as usual) from our design team over at Our Creative Corner :-)  Make sure to stop by and say Hi!!!

My card! Almost had all of the colours in hand for this challenge... I have an order on the way, I should be ready to resume shortly to my favorite hobby in the whole wide world!!!  Stamping and crafting!

Okay so I cheated... I really wanted to use a jumbo button and I didn't have one in Old Olive so Artichoke will have to do!.  I used the hostess level 2 Fast and something stamp set and the Because I care stamp set (hostess level 1) for this card.  Added dimensionals, ribbons, linen tread, jewels, sponging, En Français background stamps, played with sticky strip (ribbons), punches, markers, stamp-a-ma-jig and I really like the result...

That's it... I am attending a card class today in Toronto and will be spending some time with other crafting maniacs :-)

Swap in from Convention

I just have not been creating enough lately ... lots of stuff on the go and also got dirt delivered (yeah, I will have a flower garden) So I decided to share this one with you.

This one was made by Melissa M. Ellis from Chesapeake VA... Love how she played with masking  and sponging...

Ingredients: Artistic Etchings Stamp set, clear embossing powder, Lattice die, big shot, Very vanilla, chocolate chip, certainly celery, bashful blue card stock and inks... dimensionals and just is so lovely to look at :-)

My Baby is growing up!

Same layout, different colours... These pictures were taken 2 years ago at Halloween (of course) by my neighbour and upline Donna.

Why am I saying that he is growing up, he lost his first tooth yesterday and today, he was very sad to know that it probably is somewhere down the pipes (he swallowed it)...

So one quick project, using MDS!!!  Love it!

Project 10 submitted for the Artisan Award 2010 contest (Final one)

Every Monday for 10 weeks starting June 21st till August 23rd inclusive, I will be posting a project at a time from all 10 submitted.

Now, the ingredients will be listed after the pictures and I also know that another talented lady up here in Canada submitted awesome projects as well.  Neither one of us made it in the top 10... but that's okay, we still love playing with paper and we will gladly share the projects with you.

Stamps: One of a kind

Ink: soft suede, brocade blue classic, whisper white, craft inks.

Stamp-a-stack with a twist...

A twist?  Well, kinda.  Yesterday I met new people at my monthly Stamp-a-Stack and what I liked about that class is, 1) they tried different things, in other words, used my cards as inspiration and did their own thing (wish I would have taken pictures of every different one done).  2) we laughed and 3) all was done within 3 hours (a bit less but no one had to rush... nice)

Next month's theme has not been decided on yet so if you feel you want to come but would love to do cards for a specific occasion, let me know and I'll find inspiration for you :-)

This first card was tweaked as it was missing a little something (while they started working on their version, I redid the sample, lol)

This one is Sandra's card.  She like the original one but wanted to try something different... I loved that once she started it, everyone else started to come up with their own versions...

Our Creative Corner... Back to school / First day of School.

Soon, my monkey will be starting grade 1... Scary!!! So for this week challenge at Our Creative Corner, we are asking you to share projects that would fit perfectly with the start of a new school year.  Here is my take on the challenge.

Definitively super Quick-n-Easy...

One quick post, one quick card... I whipped up 8 of these in under 10 minutes.

• Take a 6"x 3"piece of textured card stock in whisper white, fold in 2
• Using a scrap piece of card stock, punch out a circle (the biggest one from stampin'Up punches works great)...
• Sponge the inside of the circle using Daffodil, Peach and Pear classic inks onto your whisper white 
• Watercolour Trio is the stamp set used here.
• Images were stamped in Espresso.

Upcoming classes.... join us, we will have fun (plus you might win something)

Since I have been relaxing (and reading) this week and not posting as often as usual, I thought that I might remind everyone about the upcoming classes.  The reason why I don't have a lot of stuff to post is because I am working hard at putting projects together that are at the same time, fun, beautiful, make you want to go AAAHHHhh!! and keep the price of each class under $35.  My goal, is to have fun, meet people and leave you wanting more :-)

In August, I still have a few nights available for workshops.  Give me a shout and we will figure it out.  I will bring the party to your house if you can get at least 5 friends to join you (ideal number, not too crowded and leaves the attendees plenty of time to chat).  August is the best time to book and host a party as Stampin'Up! is giving away an extra $35 in spending if your workshop sales reaches $450.  At $450, you already get $45 plus one hostess set (level 1 or level 2).

Now on to what I already have put together for you... August 21st... STAMP-A-STACK... you will get to make 2 of each of 5 beautiful designs for the low price of $25. (can't get that many beautiful handmade cards in stores for that price and on top of it, you'll be able to say..."hey look it, I made this!!!!")... ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT...

September 11th, birthday class... 16 cards, again made by you for $35... ONLY 9 SPOTS LEFT.

Then come October 2nd... I have an Halloween Decoration class (still designing the projects... You definitively don't want to miss this one) We will be making a Haunted House, 2 Spooky Lanterns and ... a surprise...  Again all of this for $35.  

Deadline  to sign up will be 2 weeks prior to the event to ensure that I have plenty of time to order, received and prepare.

October 16th, Christmas class - part 1 for $35...Labels, labels and more labels...24 gorgeous, simple labels that will leave you gift recipients speechless... every single one of you that signs up for ALL 3 of the Christmas Series classes will go home with a surprise after class 3... not saying is really hard ,lol!!!

November 6th - part 2... $35,  Dishes for Santa and 5 cards...

November 20th... Stamp-a-stack for Xmas...($25 or $10 if you put an order in for $40)  

You will get the chance to make 2 more of each of the 5 designs from the November 6th class. (still finalizing the designs... love my designer paper!!!)

and finally... 

November 27th - part 3 $35....la pièce de résistance... just in time for the Christmas count down.

 

A family class.  Mom, bring the kids cause even Santa has little helpers... We will be making the advent calendar.  Simple, lots of time to get the kids to help decorate and assemble...  If none of the other classes are appealing to you, make sure to come to this one...kids will have fun, (and it will keep them out of trouble for a few hours :-)  Cost is $35 per family... does not matter how many kids tag along... $35 is the cost to make 1 calendar.  You need 2 then $70 would be your total cost.

Can't hardly wait to see you... It'll be so "KEWL"

Contact me and we will figure out the 'shipping portion of the transaction'.

Some sets have been gently loved and used other ones are new - simply mounted. Some stamps have stains on the wood which does not impact the quality in any way.

If you feel like adopting a set (or more) I will work with the post office to get an accurate pricing on shipping. Some sets will be missed but, in the end, it only means more space for new sets ;-)
