There is no better time than now to become a SU demo!!!

Stampin’ Up always has neat ideas and sure makes it easy to be a demonstrator!  Whether you just want the starter kit for the super savings on the contents ( Over $375 value for $215) and a minimum 20% discount on all your purchases (30% on your first qualifying order)… or you want to start building a business…. right now is probably the best time to join. 
With the new add in of a free tote (if you sign up before October 18th) it’s hard to pass up.  You were thinking about it, well there is another good reason to do it now... Oh my goodness... this is really pretty!

I had no clue what to do as an insert (too many stamp sets at my disposition,lol) so I grabbed a piece of very vanilla cs, a little piece of DP, my stampin'write markers...

...pearls and of course, I never leave without them... my sponges!  I used Cherry Cobbler, Soft suede and old olive on the sentiment from Cottage Garden (page 107), Crumb cake was used on the flower from the Charming stamp set (page 130) and to darken the torn edge of the Newsprint dp (page  175), 2 tiny pearls from the jewels found on page 188 of the IBC.  I already had the baubles (found in the holiday mini and the crochet trim ribbon - page 190)

The simply adorned charm used it the biggest one, 1 1/2 x 2".

Stamp of the Month... They're ba-ack!!!

This stamp set id from the Holiday Mini and when you come to the class, you will go home with these 2 projects and the stamp set (clear mount)

Sophie, je pense à toi...

Good morning everyone,
This week's challenge over at Our Creative Corner is a colour challenge... Since my best friend is going through a really sad time and her favorite colour is BLUE... I decided to use this colour combo and make her a card.  I'll pop over there again soon to spend more time with her once the dust settles down and everyone around her goes back to their own routine.

After a long 19 month of fighting the disease, her husband is finally free from all treatments and suffering.  It is very sad and I wish that he would have won this one.  I'll miss him and will make sure to support her as best as I can from here.

Sophie, Je suis vraiment triste de ne pouvoir être à tes côtés pendant cette dure épreuve.  Je tiens à ce que tu saches que je penses très fort à toi et Charlot et qu'il n'y a pas d'heures pour me téléphoner, nuit ou jour.  Je vous aime, Karl me manque et tu peux compter sur moi.  Je vous embrasse et on se voit bientôt.  Bisous et courage ma belle.

Now, on to the card.  Is is a case from page 89 in the IBC 2010-2011 from Stampin'Up!  Hope you guys like it.  Can quite recall the names of the stamp set, DP and die used to make it (no I was not drinking, lol) just need to go to bed and sleep this next week off!

OCC Challenge... A fun sketch to get you started:-)

How cute is this!  Too bad I can't tell who this card is for, she has not officially shared the good news yet!  Well, my card is ready!

Bella is turning one!!!

Remember my friend who spoiled me rotten in January at Bella Clinique in Beloeil QC ?  Well, it has been in business for a year and to celebrate, she wanted me to make about 350 cards for the occasion.  Deadline was a bit tight but my good friend Michelle picked me over her husband for 2 evenings in a row, lol!!!  I would not have been able to pull this off without her help.  Again thanks Michelle!

Quick picture of the piles of cards.  I used MDS to create the background and my regular printer (not enough time to have sent it out to the printer and then just played :-)

I am tired but I loved every second of this adrenaline rush!  Luv you Jennifer and thanks again for letting me be part of this :-)  You should get them sometimes Friday!

Franky as an Halloween lantern project...

Will you be joining me on October 3rd?  Easy, fun and cute projects.  Class is $35 and you will get to make 2 lantern, 1 goody bag/basket and one hunted house.

Here is the 1st lantern:-)

Recipe for the lantern: you will need 1 and a half sheet of Old Olive and 1/4 sheet of Vellum card stock.

• Cut the sheets of  8 1/2 x 11 of old olive in 2 (same as you would do for a standard card)
• Run 1 half through the Big shot using the Top note die (only 1 opening is needed)
• Take a second half and cut at 5 1/2 (should leave you with a square piece of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and  one of 5 1/2 x 3)
• Out of the small piece, cut 3 strips of 1" x 5 1/2
• The square piece needs to get scored at 5/8 on all 4 sides.  Cut the corners off, this will be your bottom.
• Fold the strips in 2, and use them to join the 2 half together , the remaining one can be cut in 2 and used to re-enforce the other folds.
• Using paper snips, other scraps, decorate as you see fit.  i used the nex little oval punch from the Holiday Mini for the eyes as well as the 1/2 " circle, perfect plum cs, whisper white and basic black cs, a pencil, a black marker, white gel pen and of course adhesive :-)

New letterpress plate from Stampin'Up!

I have to admit it... I love my Big Shot (and anything SU sells :-)) .  I am not going to lie, I have tools that are not from Stampin'Up! and to be honest, as they need to get replaced, I am switching over.  You might think that you are paying a bit more (sometimes it is true) but in the end, you do pay for what you get.

Okay, enough chit, chat... on to my 3 seconds card :-)

Recipe: 6x6 piece of confetti card stock, a big Shot, Letterpress plate, Silver encore ink, Northern Frost Decorative strip, dimensionl (1) and 1 rhinestone.

Remember to RSVP before the 6th of  November to ensure that I have enough supplies onhand for everyone.  The Holiday stamp a stack is November 20th.  See you soon!
